This book is the combined work of the contributors to ``The Indic-Computing Project''.

The text was marked up using SGML; specifically, the DocBook SGML DTD was the chosen markup specification. The SGML text was then transformed to different presentation formats using Jade, an open-source SGML transformation engine. Much of the system infrastructure needed for this task was adapted from that of the FreeBSD Documentation Project.

Norman Walsh's DSSSL stylesheets were used with an additional customization layer to provide the presentation instructions for Jade.

The printed version of this document was typeset using Donald Knuth's TeX typesetting system, Leslie Lamport's LaTeX macro package over TeX and the OpenJade team's JadeTeX macro package for LaTeX.
